Built by hand from recycled scrap metal, this Bumblebee is assembled panel by panel: layered yellow armour over an exposed mechanical core of gears, pistons and cabling. The helmet is the centrepiece, with the antennae, articulated jaw and deep-set eyes rendered in fine detail — and those eyes are wired for illumination, so the sculpture holds its presence in a dim room or after sunset.
The rotary cannon on the right arm is modelled barrel by barrel, and the wide-planted legs give the figure the weight and readiness of the character rather than a static pose. At 197 kg it is a substantial, room-defining piece that still fits comfortably in an interior.
