This policy explains which personal data this website processes, for what purpose, and what rights you have. It applies to www.big-robot-pattaya.com.

Hosting and server log files

The website runs on a server of IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, in a data centre in Germany. Each time a page is requested, the server records the IP address, the date and time, the page or file requested, the amount of data sent, the website you came from, and your browser and operating system.

These log files are needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure, for example to detect attacks. They are deleted automatically after 14 days. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Enquiries

When you send an enquiry through the form, we store your name, email address and message and, if you give them, your phone number and country, together with the pieces you ask about and the language of the page. The data is stored on our server in Germany and used only to answer you and, if you wish, to prepare an offer. We pass it on only where a purchase requires it, for example to arrange shipping.

Name, email address and message are needed to answer you; phone number and country are optional. Legal basis: steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or, for general questions, our legitimate interest in answering them (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete enquiries when they are no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods require us to keep them.

If you contact us by phone, email, LINE or WhatsApp, we use what you tell us in the same way. Messages sent through LINE and WhatsApp are also processed by the providers of those services under their own privacy policies.

Cookies and your cookie choice

The website sets no cookies of its own. Your answer to the cookie banner is stored in your browser (local storage) so that the banner does not ask again on every page; this is necessary for the website to respect your choice (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). Only Google Analytics sets cookies, and only after you agree (see below).

Visitor statistics without cookies (Umami)

To see which pages are visited, we use Umami, which runs on our own server in Germany. It records the page viewed, the website you came from, the type of browser, operating system and device, the screen size, the language and the country. Umami sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses, so a visit cannot be traced back to a person. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the website is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google Analytics

With your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). It shows us how visitors use the site: which pages are viewed and for how long, how far pages are scrolled, which links lead to other websites, which files are downloaded and how the search and forms are used, together with the type of device and browser, the approximate location (country or city) and the page a visitor came from. We use these figures only to improve the website.

Google Analytics runs only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. Two cookies are then stored in your browser, _ga and _ga_S176TRW0WH, which let Google recognise your browser on later visits; they expire after two years. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses: for visitors in the EU, the IP address is only used to determine the approximate location and is then discarded. Google deletes event data after 2 months and user data 14 months after your last visit. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising.

Google may process the data on servers in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). We have accepted Google’s data processing terms under Art. 28 GDPR.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG); for visitors in Thailand, your consent under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future: click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page and choose “Decline”. Google Analytics then stops and its cookies are deleted. More information is in Google’s privacy policy.

TikTok films

The website shows our latest TikTok films. The preview pictures come from our own server. The TikTok player is only loaded when you click a film: from then on, TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland, receives your IP address and information about your device and browser, and may set cookies. By clicking a film you agree to this (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). More information is in TikTok’s privacy policy.

Links to social networks and messengers

Our links to Instagram, TikTok, LINE and WhatsApp, including the QR codes, are plain links. No data is sent to these services until you follow one; from then on, the provider’s own privacy policy applies.

Fonts and encryption

The fonts are served from our own server; the website makes no connection to Google Fonts or any other font service. All pages are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Your rights

You have the right to access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), deleted (Art. 17) or its processing restricted (Art. 18), to receive it in a portable format (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Visitors in Thailand have the corresponding rights under the Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA).

To use these rights, contact us at the address above. You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority: in the EU, for example, in your country of residence; in Thailand, to the Personal Data Protection Committee.
